Auto Box Sets Not Doing Anything...

So not 100% sure why but my collections are really doing nothing it appears, or nothing is being created. First and foremost I am demoing out Emby to see if I can make the switch from Plex as I am getting annoyed with Plex. The reason I mention that is to make sure I don't need Emby Premier for this to work, I couldn't find that listed anywhere but don't want to both everyone if its required. With that out of the way, more details below:

I am running the EmbyServerBeta docker for unRAID, Version 3.2.27.1 beta.

Library Settings: Download artwork and metadata from the internet is checked.

Library Display: Group movies into collections is checked.

I have re-scanned my library and also done a full meta data refresh, no collections get added. It is also set to the default 2 and for an example, [REC] and [REC] 2 have the matching Collection ID set = 74508.

Hi, welcome. In order for the plugin to create boxsets your movies need to have the metadata value filled in: tmdb collection id. This is discussed on the plug-in installation page.

Try using the editor functions to see if your movies have these values. If not then you can try refreshing a movie to see if it gets filled in. Thanks.

thanks for getting back in touch so fast, refreshing from the Plex forums :) They do, I mentioned [REC] and [REC]2 as an example.

The autoboxset plugin has a scheduled task. did you try running that in the server scheduled tasks section?

The scheduled task is in the "Scheduled Tasks" section of the server web interface, near the bottom of the sidebar menu. Try running that. Thanks.

Right ok this is actually a hidden task that runs as part of the library scan, my mistake.

Can you please attach the complete emby server log? thanks.

Think I'm getting this to, on latest Emby beta server, Windows 10, Box Sets 1.1.0.6...

5992298361dc9_EmbyBoxsets.jpg

Just added BR rips for Finding Nemo / Dory and Twilight - don't get added to already existing (low res) boxsets. Haven't added any boxset stuff recently, so don't know if it a new problem or not. I've run scheduled updates manually and told the plug-in to 'Refresh Box Sets'.

If you mean the tmdb bit, yes they the new ones all seem to be identified correctly. This is one of the new BR rips added (for Finding Dory), same codes as for the SD version...

59923be4beb94_EmbyBoxsets2.jpg

They all seem to be identified, and use the same id as the SD versions. So I've added two Dory hi-res versions to the two low-res versions I already had and added 5 Twilight hi-res versions to the two low-res versions I already had.

So you are saying that multiple versions of the same movie are not be grouped into the their collections.

Well, more or less. Already have SD versions of Finding Dory/Nemo and added HD versions. They don't get added to the collections. For Twilight I already have two SD movies and I added a BR box set of discs, which also don't get added to Emby's box set.

OTOH I recently (a few weeks ago) added three Alvin and the Chipmunks BR rips to the Alvin and the Chipmunks SD boxset I already have and that worked fine...

probably a dumb question, but now in the UI where do I make it so All movies shows the collection and not the individual films, or is that not possible?

Server Dashboard -> Library -> Display -> Collapse movies into collections

do you mean this? If so I had it checked...

Group movies into collections

When displaying movie lists, movies belonging to a collection will be displayed as one grouped item

I guess you found this already (bit difficult to tell from the picture)...

Personally I tick options 3 and 4. Don't know why it wouldn't work if you have option 3 already checked though. Maybe just try refreshing stuff and running the scheduled updates manually...might take a while if you have lots of media (or might not, don't really know  :) )
