StarsLight 0
I question about Emby still not support raw photo file (e.g. NEF) in latest version of Emby?
BAlGaInTl 279
My guess would be that it's because of the proprietary format. There are probably legal issues and/or licensing fees.
Jdiesel 1114
Libraw should support it. Does Emby have any RAW support? If so I wonder which libraries they are using.
Luke 37247
We are using skia so we support all of the formats that it supports. But since we have ffmpeg we could always use that as an in-between layer to support additional formats.

Would we have enhancement to support more photo format by i.e. Libraw in future? also timeline viewing and advanced searching for photo will benefit someone like photographer managing in the Emby. Jdiesel 1114
Is it specifically nef (Nikon Raw format) or other Raw formats as well? If not cr2 (Canon) would be another popular one to add support for.
Luke 37247
cr2 is already there.
