Problems with long duration files on AFTV

Hello,

  Has anyone else seen this?  I'm using the 2nd gen AFTV and the latest Emby server on Windows 10.  I have an MKV file from a standard definition movie.  There is nothing unusual in the codec.  However it will not play.  It starts and then a second later it quits and goes back to the screen for that movie.  I never had this issue before so I checked other movies and determined that it happens with movies that are over 3 hours:  It, Around the World in 80 Days, etc.  The files play fine from Emby using the web interface.  They also play fine if I use an external VLC player within the Emby app on the AFTV box.  The problem has nothing to do with the file length in GB, just the duration.  This is probably something out of Emby's control and it more likely a problem with the AFTV.  Has anyone else seen this?

Thanks.  I have sent a developer log from the Amazon Fire TV app at 12:25 AM EDT.  The local user is Bart.

I started by playing Rocky II which is MPEG2VIDEO format and it played fine.  I then played Bridge Over the River Kwai, also MPEG2VIDEO and it immediately gave up and went back the screen for the movie.

The video is interlaced so it is trying to play it in VLC to do the de-interlacing locally.  However, VLC cannot find the default audio track and is also thinking that the item is ending before it even gets started.  We have a workaround for the second issue in the current beta that will probably allow this item to play properly (by transcoding it on the server).

Right after I sent this I noticed the issue with the default audio track.  I did fix the default in the file, but the problem remains.  If I set the bit rate to a very low value to force transcoding, the file does play.  Of course, the quality suffers.  Hopefully the beta will solve this.
