muad'dib 0 Posted July 14, 2017 Share Posted July 14, 2017 (edited) When using emby tv and 4k 100Mbps average bitrate files (with direct link and streaming - using smb), I get stuttering... If I change to http streaming and not direct, all is good.. Now, If using kodi emby addon (using same direct stream and link - smb) All works awesome, no stuttering.. Any way to get the android app to work as well. Don't really want to load kodi to use those files. If I change to direct (http) on app, some files audio is sending PCM instead of dts hd MA X.. Im using external player for both emby kodi and emby tv app.. I have the himedia q10pro. Have you tried a different one? With the himedia q10pro it has its own player.. So I choose that... I kodi emby Addon, it also uses same external player. So both players are using same player... Just interesting thst I get stuttering with android app but not kodi app, even though both are set to direct streaming.. Hope that helps.. Can you confirm if you experience the same thing when using SMB with Emby's internal player? Thanks Sent from my LG-H831 using Tapatalk Update.. Tried with internal emby player and freezes for few seconds then tries to play then freezes etc.. So worse than external player... I went into kodi again and tried same file , and to my surprise its stuttering now with external player.. Not sure what changed, maybe server updated last night, or maybe Android new beta version of apps did something.. Anyway SMB direct stutters... However, if I use NFS in kodi or just NFS with himedia player, no stuttering.. As expected as NFS can handle higher speeds.. Can you please add NFS in future kodi and stand alone android emby android tv App for use with direct paths and external players...
