Never_More 19
Wsll we asked for bigger SSD and now we have it.. I've wondered how long it would take for the SSD to grow to a size useful for a Media server storage needs. I'm interested in your thoughts if this would be any use to the server's we use. Sure price for now will be way to high for most of us .. like all new things it will lower for the budget pc.. www.theregister.co.uk/2017/07/11/viking_50tb_ssds/
mastrmind11 717
I suppose it depends on your use case. But I'd think generally speaking a giant ssd is overkill for non random reads, and unless you're storing bitripped UHD video, a platter is rarely a bottleneck during playback. Interesting read though. Edited July 11, 2017 by mastrmind11
