Pepes 1
Hello, Please can you handle this error better? This is only what I see in browser, when I tried to play TV show and I can see only infinite loading: https://ctrlv.cz/O4cE It will be really better when I can see some error message / dialog, where it would says what is wrong instead of infinite loading. ;-) And when I looked in log I see this (if it doesn't help, here is full log: https://pastebin.com/XT0hY9Hk ) 2017-07-07 20:58:58.0131 Info App: User policy for Pepe. Pepes 1
In that dialog, which could be there, it would be good if it let me to play it when Emby recognizes something wrong. I don't think it's related, but when I tried it through VLC it works. Anyway. ffmpeg log: https://pastebin.com/eDxRwft7 media info: https://ctrlv.cz/K4rC (I dont think it has enough info, so will provide better one, give me sec)I couldnt find right now how to save it. Solution Luke 37348 Posted July 7, 2017 Solution Share Posted July 7, 2017 Ok, you used an smb path to setup your emby library. your ffmpeg build needs to be compiled with smb support. In the future we will compile this into a build and supply it ourselves, but we just haven't done that yet. So your options are: - obtaining or compiling an ffmpeg build with smb support added - change your library setup to not use smb. To accomplish this, first mount the smb share to a local path in your OS, then add that local path to Emby instead of the smb path. Let us know if this helps. Thanks.
Pepes 1
I'll check it, but there could be also some dialog what is going on instead of infinite loading ;-)
Luke 37348
yes certainly the UI could respond better to the failure, absolutely.
Pepes 1
Ok. I tried to remove folders in TV category and when I tried to remove there dialog shows up if I'm sure I press "Yes/Remove" (depends on translation) and nothing happened. Folders are still there. Here is my log: https://pastebin.com/gHK0Z6mJ What works is removing whole TV category... // As I see Emby doesn't support NFS as the main library path. That's not good. Many of us are doing it that way. If you need help, just ask. Edited July 7, 2017 by mastrmind11
Pepes 1
I know. I'm working on it. But there could be also improvement about it :-) EDIT:// Hm.. I see I couldnt edit path to folder and only way is remove the folder and add it back. Edited July 7, 2017 by Pepes
Luke 37348
If you are still using smb, try using the path by ip address instead of host name.
Pepes 1
Ok. More details here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/46813-dockerlinux-nfs-shares/ OK. I also PM'ed to Luke this message: https://ctrlv.cz/9cGX because I couldn't scan my library and I got up and looked what Luke wrote and I also see what he responds to this thread. I don't use hostname at all, but I noticed same thread here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/48924-ubuntu-emby-32220-smb-paths-no-longer-working/ and Luke responded here different respond and I think important thing from this whole thing is fixed now in the latest version - 3.2.23 even I said in PM that it worked in older version... So removing folders in TV category now works and scanning, too and now I can even edit path in folder so I dont need to remove it and add back.
