mwongjay 64
When restoring from a backup, the Emby Premiere key is restored and can be viewed in the Emby Premiere settings view, however, any device connecting to the server instance do not see it as having Emby Premiere status. The fix is to clear the key, click save, enter the key again, click save. This seems to be a bug. Restoring from a backup should also restore Emby Premiere status. ebr 14947
I believe re-starting the server should have had the same effect.
mwongjay 64
I believe re-starting the server should have had the same effect. It may be useful to those who use this plugin to either restart the server automatically after restoring configurations or update the view with a sentence explaining a server restart is required to restore Emby Premiere. ebr 14947
It actually should re-start automatically after the restore (and a message to that effect is displayed). Are you running as a service?
mwongjay 64
It actually should re-start automatically after the restore (and a message to that effect is displayed). Are you running as a service? Yes. Once I clicked "Restore Now", I waited until I saw a notification that it was completed, I then clicked on the Dashboard link. Does the request to restart the server occur after the notification that the restore was completed? If that's the case it may be a race condition where the view changed before the request to restart the server was invoked. I understand logic was written to restart the server after a backup, however, I did not experience that behavior which would lead me to believe others may as well. My earlier recommendation would be a trivial request, but to minimally place text in the plugin or in the confirmation prompt that a server restart will be required to restore Emby Premiere status. ebr 14947
What, exactly, did the message you saw after clicking restore say? Do you remember? "Restore Started. Server will re-start when complete." That is the message that is displayed. We should improve that to mention that you need to restart manually if running as a service Was your "yes" above in response to whether or not you are running as a service? If so, that's why it didn't restart automatically.

Luke 37166
The plugin tries to restart and currently doesn't handle the failure for servers that don't support automated restarting. It's something we need to improve in an update to the plugin. thanks.
