Bert 49 Posted June 6, 2017 Share Posted June 6, 2017 Hello, I recently started trying to use IPTV on Emby. My provider provides a url for both the guide and the m3u. Whenever I have these added as sources in live tv, Emby slows to a crawl and or crashes depending on the client. I believe the issue is there are something like 1500 channels and this is maxing out the clients / theater. I don't want or need all of these channels (there's like 15 hockey for example). Is there any suggestions as to what I might do or if this is even the cause? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
CBers 6780 Posted June 6, 2017 Share Posted June 6, 2017 You can download the M3U file and remove the channels you don't want, then add the amended M3U file to Emby. This won't get you any changes that the IPTV provider makes, unless you do it regularly. @@maegibbons may have a better suggestion. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
dgran 0 Posted June 7, 2017 Share Posted June 7, 2017 use https://xtream-editor.com <--note not free but around $10 fora year allows you to add remove edit whole groups of channels and then emby can pull the new data directly from there whenever your list is updated the editor loads the new data and makes your changes so you don't have to keep editing the list manually.
