Fellow Emby enthusiasts,

what device(s) are you using to control your htpc? Full names and picture if possible.

It can be any of those:

1) separate k/bd and mouse

2) all in one (w/trackpad or trackball)

3) remote control

4) smartphone/tablet with app "?"

5) voice recognition

6) telekynesis

7) other?

Myself, I presently use a Logitech Mediaboard PS3 bluetooth + a Logitech Harmony Ultimate One remote.

I use a Nvidia Shield now, but have done a full HTPC in the past.

I use a Logitech K830, Harmony Hub and Simple Remote, and a Google Home (voice commands).

I started out with a Logitech K400 for the Keyboard/Mouse, but MUCH prefer the K830 for the backlit keys, rechargeable battery, and significantly better touchpad.

I also prefer the simple remote over the ones with screens.  I've been using it for a couple of years now and still haven't had to replace the battery.

The Harmony Ultimate One is rechargeable (and comes with base)

But I know what you mean, this little screen is power hungry.

I had an older one with a screen/base.  Pre-hub.  I forget the exact model, but it seemed that screen was of minimal use to me.  I only used it to start activities (which are hard buttons on the simple remote).  The cool thing about the hub is that if I need a screen or other functions I haven't mapped, I can always break out the app on my phone.
