tuni 0
Hi , the emby is annouced with improved playback . Is it now possible to play 24p over chromecast ? As you guys know we just can set our chromecasst @50hz ( Europe ) or @60hz. Did you performed the auto refresh rate or not? I want a smooth playback with 24p. I hate dropped and skipped frames. Hope someone will give a answer. Best Regards Tuni

Luke 37100
If you mean changing the refresh rate of the display, Chromecast does not have an api that allows developers to do that.
tuni 0
So we dont have improved playback with chromecast. Little bit disappointed. As long as your application cant handle this. Its not worth watching over Chromecast. Google wants us to watch their content @ 60hz. But we want our content 24p!
Luke 37100
We do have improved playback because we've updated our receiver to make sure it direct plays everything that can possibly be direct played, and this includes taking advantage of new features in Chromecast Ultra. We are taking advantage of everything that is offered to us in the google cast api.
Solution Jdiesel 1114 Posted May 4, 2017 Solution Share Posted May 4, 2017 (edited) You should bring up this issue with Google as it is the Chromecast that does not support 24p playback, not an Emby issue. If 24p playback is important you may want to consider getting a "true" Android TV device like the Xiaomi Mi box, Amazon FireTV, or Nvidia Shield.
