DLNA custom profile for Sony Bravia KDL-40Z5100

Hi,

 

I have a Sony Bravia KDL-40Z5100 (2009 model I think).

I connected it to the network and the Emby server is available through the TV menu.

I can see the list of movies I have, but when I select one to play I get a file format error.

 

I copied the Sony Bravia (2010) profile and renamed it Sony Bravia KDL-40Z5100.

I edit this custom profile a few times to match the TV identification, but it didn't work.

Can you please help me correct the custom profile?

 

I've included the section of the log where Emby tries to identify the TV.

Hi, we don't have your exact device on hand for testing, so it's difficult to say, but what changes did you make to the profile?

 

Looking at the http requests, you could use one of these http headers

	X-AV-Physical-Unit-Info: pa="BRAVIA KDL-40Z5100";
	X-AV-Client-Info: av=5.0; cn="Sony Corporation"; mn="BRAVIA KDL-40Z5100"; mv="1.7";

So far, I haven't changed the profile except to find a way to get Emby to recognize the TV.

If I understand correctly, in the Identification section, I empty all fields and replace the header by

Name = X-AV-Physical-Unit-Info

Value = BRAVIA KDL-40Z5100

Match Type = Equals

Is this correct?

 

Once I get the profile to recognize the TV, I will analyse the video compatibility.
