Nvidia Shield

 

So watching a Harry Potter movie I get direct playback.  Client is set to 100Mbps.

 

However, watching a different Harry Potter movie it always transcodes.

That item has a TrueHD track and it appears the device/connections don't support Dolby or anything over stereo.

 

You should have 1.3.35 by now.

This is on my son's account and he is not signed up for the beta.

 

Odd though, because this is a Nvidia Shield connected to a pretty new TV.   I thought it would just use the AC3 track if it exists.

1.3.35 was released to the public yesterday.

 

He may have set the app to mix down to stereo.
