bnwbass 3
When using ET on my Laptop PC, I can play B-Ray files but not DVD collection files. For any DVD movie when I select play, nothing happens, no msg just nothing. Tried over 20 different tittles. These files all work when using Fire-TV interface /application. Guest asrequested
Are they folder rips or MKV/MP4?
bnwbass 3
All of my files are original file structure rips.
Guest asrequested
All of my files are original file structure rips. There have been some issues with folder rips. I think Luke is working on it, but in the mean time, try a complete uninstall and reinstall of theater and see if that helps.

Guest asrequested
As far as I'm aware, Emby doesn't use Java at all
bnwbass 3
Re-install on the first Laptop win 7, still will not playing DVD files. So here is the strange thing now, I loaded ET on a new Laptop win 10 machine and the behavior is the same as the win 7 machine. Can play Blue -r but to DVD. I know all of the DVD file rips are good based on media info and the fact I can open with other media players directly like VLC. What does ET use as the default player ? I there something within windows I need to enable? BW
Guest asrequested
There's nothing to enable. I think this is in Luke's hands, now.
Luke 37230
Try refreshing it from the web app detail screen under the 3-dot menu. See if that has an effect on Theater.
funwithmedia 352
@@bnwbass, I recommend you just setup VLC to work as an External Player (for DVD folder rips) for Emby Theater: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/43987-how-to-set-up-vlc-as-an-external-player-windows/
