intheradicalred 0
I want to create sub-folders under certain libraries in which I can link to other videos using shortcuts in those subfolders. Does Emby support Windows .lnk shortcut files?
Solution NomadCF 15 Posted April 3, 2017 Solution Share Posted April 3, 2017 You'll want to use junction points What they are : http://www.vaughnemiller.com/2012/05/07/what-the-heck-are-directory-junction-points/ Working with Junction points : https://superuser.com/questions/752538/mklink-vs-junction-exe
daedalus 430
think its better to use *.strm files just with the direct path to the file https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Strm%20files

daedalus 430
maybe the wiki article could be edited to show also a local path example, atm it gives the impression that there are only network addresses possible These are basic text files that look like .strm and contain a URL to the internet stream

Diedrich 355
I've been using Link Shell Extension for 3-4 years now with great success. It allows you to right-click a file or folder, select it as source, and then you right-click the destination folder and drop it as a symlink.
