What does this do? I'm pretty sure I don't have anyone sync'ing anything yet this just kicked off. I can't seem to find a log of what it is doing when I was checking.

Is there a key I should be looking through in the server log to see what is syncing and who did it?

Just look in the Sync section of the server dashboard and you can see what was synced.

Nada. I did check there as well.

It did just fail too for whatever it was doing.

I have no one logged into the system and no Sync tasks configured still.

Is there a reason that convert actually kicked off to try to do something? That was the only set of lines from the log file that showed it just now.

That's also up on my ACD drive so I'd like to avoid those unneeded items :)

In this particular log it ran successfully and was cancelled with no problem. So i guess we'd need to see the log from the time of the failure. Since this is unexpected your best bet might be deleting the sync db file.

I will have to check but I think the most likely reason for it not showing up in the sync management screen would be if the user account that created the sync job no longer exists. in case it helps, here is the file that was synced

Apologies as I'm not doing a good job at being articulate on this gloomy Monday here.

If I hit the task convert media, it'll try to convert that. I actually cancelled it.

I can't figure out why it's being converted at all though as no one requested to sync it nor even watch it. It just happens to be the first movie on the list in that mountpoint.

I'll see if I can find the first logfile with any reference to that title.

My activity log is only about 400 line and going through I can't find an activity related to viewing, starting it or someone sync or downloading it. Is that the right place to look? I can let it run out as it'll take some time to convert to see what happens but was trying to figure out the right place to identify the cause. I still don't see any sync jobs running either.

Mainly, I just want to stop it and I can't figure out how to. If I cancel, it just restarts the next time the job runs.
