ebr 14921
In my FireTV settings it only has the option of SD,HD,4k(Auto) i can not tell it to maintain 4k resolution. When I watch an Amazon prime video it automatically switches to 4k. That designation just means that the Fire TV device has detected a 4K display. Which one of those have you selected as the resolution?

I have it set to 4k(Auto) When i hit the info button on my tv it shows it stays in 1080p for menus and apps and only switches when i play content thats 4k. zedd2 0
If when you set the audio to TrueHD the server is transcoding, then it will be in 1080. Are you connected to a receiver or your TV? TV

This is incorrect. Only the audio is being converted in your example. We are copying the video stream. Thanks.
Guest asrequested
TV If you aren't using surround sound, try setting the audio to downmix to stereo.
