Live TV Does not Start on iOS

Hi, I have live tv via m3u set up and working in android and browser but on iOS the stream never starts and nothing is reported in the dashboard. I get a spinning circle and no option to back out to the prior screen. i just have to close the app. other media plays back on the same device. tried on ipad and iphone.

 

i have logs but i'm getting uncomfortable with the level of personal details that are not obfuscated in so i will pm them on request

I've experienced very slow load times.  Also, if the channel you are trying to stream is flagged, you won't be able to stream it.

 

Have you tried a few different channels?  Also, for iOS, what device is it?  If it is very old, it may be that as well.  More info will be helpful in order to help you.

This is specific to iOS, playback starts immediately in web, on android. Using an iPad mini and iPhone 7 plus so unlikely to be anything to do with iOS.

logs pm'd. all i'm trying to do i start playback of a live tv channel on my iphone. i can't tell if recorded tv from the same signal is working either, i get a picture but it doesnt move from the first frame, but i'm abroad so can't tell if this is part of the issue. also none of the above starting live tv or the recording shows up in "recent activity" on the dashboard
