Expected behavior on nVidia shield and recommended bar?

When I load Emby's app, it made me login the first time, but any subsequent logins were suppressed as it remembered who I was... however, when I click on the recommended video to either resume playback, or start the next show in a series, it prompts me for my password first before letting me playback the show.  

 

I'd really like to keep passwords turned on and remote access available, but I'd also like the recommended bar on my nVidia shield to work properly with Emby too - and it looks like the password snuffs that up.  Is this expected, or can it be corrected to not require a password on recommended videos?

Go into the settings in the app and set the first option to "Login as this user" and then make sure the "Require Password" box is unchecked.
