So my server is updated to version 3.2.7.0

I run TVHeadend with Legacy (Old) HDHomerun tuners (HDHR3-US).

The server is able to see my tuner now, and Emby seems to be authenticating to Schedules Direct.

However, no channels are being mapped.

Emby seems to be reaching out to "my.hdhomerun.com" and then getting an error:

Error App: Error getting channel list

I'm not at home right now, so I can't get a full log. (Full Log Added Below)

Any thoughts on what could be causing this?

What's the purpose of touching the hdhomerun domain?

ETA:

Full Log

EmbyLogLiveTV.txt

Not sure if this is relevant as I use zap2xml and not Schedules Direct.

If you provide your own xml guide data then you have to manually map the channels so it knows what data to assign to which channel.  Does the same apply for Schedules Direct, and have you done that already?

Please attach the complete emby server log and we'll take a look.

Please note the TVHeadEnd plugin is no longer needed.

I was counting the minutes before @@Luke asked for my complete log.  :)  I'll attach it later today when I get home.

I'm not using the TVHeadend plugin.  I tested it, but wasn't completely happy with the performance.  I've been using Kodi to watch live TV using the TVHeadend addon for that.

I tried to do that, but no channels are showing up to map.

I'll dive in to it some more tonight.

I don't think there is a Linux script for zap2xml last I checked.  I currently use mc2xml to grab Schedules Direct data and generate an XML for my TVHeadend setup.

zap2xml does indeed work for linux.  I have it running on my raspberry pi.  It did take a few minutes to get all the necessary dependencies installed, but it works beautifully.

Okay... So I figured this out...

Since I've been using TVHeadend to scan for my channels, there were none associated with my.hdhomerun.com

I had to use the utility to do a scan in Windows of all places.

Guess you can't use legacy hardware unless you have at least one Windows machine or VM to set it up.

Correct, yes. You don't permanently need a windows machine, you just need it once to get the channels synced to your myhdhomerun
