Parent Video Nodes Issue

I'm having the same issue as described in here (https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/43697-video-content-displaying-as-music/) , and I'm wondering if this is being looked at, since the topic of this thread doesn't really describe the problem accurately.

I separate my TV media on Emby Server using different libraries/shares/drives (i.e. MainTV, KidsTV, K-Drama).  I used to be able to create a separate menu in Kodi, using a Custom Menu, and in each, I would choose Video Library -> Emby -> TV  for TV SHOW, and Video Library -> Emby -> KIDSTV and Video Library -> Emby -> KDRAMAS.....well, you get the gist.

As others have reported, when we add our libraries, we have to manually go into another sub-folder/sub-menu to get to our listing of the shows.  This causes a negative experience for the user, as when we back out of that screen, we are left to see another menu, and have to press back again to get to the Home Row.

Others have mentioned that creating favorites and using the favorites as the library entry is a workaround, but can we get confirmation that this is the normal behaviour, and that the "favorites method" is the only way this can be achieved?

This is the best way I can show the problem with screenshots

Im having the same problem but its happening even when I go forward. IE: if I set my home screen widget just like yours, when I select said widget I don't go all the way into Kids Movies where I would see a list of movies. I am only brought to that main level where I would have to select Kids Movies one more time to get into it.

BTW, I'm running Emby for Kodi v2.3.46.  Is this the stable release?  Or is it 2.3.2? or 2.3.6?  I'm confused.

Weird, this seemed to have been fixed itself last night.

I can now see and add my separate video folders without going into the Emby subfolder first.

xnappo

This is a Kodi thing - sometimes it does back to home and sometimes it goes up a level.  Nothing to do with this addon in particular.

I seem to remember reading an explanation but can't remember what it was.

That's a weird bug @@xnappo but I don't think it's a Back action per se

What makes it even more weird is, that it worked from one day to the next, and the difference being, what's available in the menu

@@xnappo  I didn't even get a chance to try out the YouTube addon, and noticed the issue this weekend.

Whenever a manual sync or refresh is done, the problem came back.

The only way I could fix it, to manually install 2.3.2, and leave Auto-Update off.  I can let it update to 2.3.46, and it'll be good....until a refresh is executed.

So in the meantime, I will keep using 2.3.2
