The server is running on Debian 8 and was installed through the repository, how can I fix it?

drill into the show, click 3-dot menu, there's an option to pick images in there.

Thanks, I clicked on edit images, searched for a new image and it worked but I would like to find a way to fix it completly, every new show have this problem and it take time to change it

Sorry, I will try to give more details:

When I add a new TV show to the disk, Emby doesn't detect the TV show, I need to manually click identify in the context menu and type the show name.

But even when I identify the show and do a refresh for the metadata and images, the shows still don't have a thumbnail (some have other images but not the thumbnail)

Now that I have used the edit images menu, I still have a few show that I can't download a thumbnail for. I download the image and it just loading and doing nothing.
I have attached the last 3 logs, I have added 2 shows lately, I think it was today (log.txt) but maybe it was yesterday.

Hi,

I'm also getting this problem running emby-server on Ubuntu 16.04. The problem appears to be that backdrop images just aren't generated for some TV shows, Movies and music albums, this is an example error in the Emby logs:

2017-03-15 08:24:49.1162 Info HttpServer: HTTP Response 404 to 192.168.0.4. Time:

Sure enough, the file isn't there on the filesystem:

# ls -l /var/lib/emby-server/metadata/library/fd/fd641b82f8bbe9eef43eb42c86ed9f3c/backdrop.jpg
ls: cannot access '/var/lib/emby-server/metadata/library/fd/fd641b82f8bbe9eef43eb42c86ed9f3c/backdrop.jpg': No such file or directory

What's worse though is this is causing error messages to keep popping up in Kodi, since these missing backdrop.jpg files seem to trip up the Emby Kodi plugin. Example from Kodi logs:

08:24:49.115 T:140376040011520   ERROR: CCurlFile::Open failed with code 404 for http://192.168.0.4:8096/emby/Items/e1425d33a83c4e7cf728036c7da3e148/Images/Backdrop/0/?MaxWidth=10000&MaxHeight=10000&Format=original&Tag=e7e39cfa1ed5a8b39aa99095cec8f3b5

Please let me know if it's useful to provide more logs, I can also test something if needed

Yes, I see every second TV show, movie or music album with a blank image - just like in the screenshot the OP posted at the start of the thread

Yes, the first log extract was from the emby-server log file. Is there something more I can upload? (not able to access the machine running emby-server, but let me know and I can upload something when I get home)

...but after several reboots right now the artwork seems to be rebuilding again. Don't know what kind of hiccup this was.

@@Larx that's not related to this topic but it sounds like perhaps a library scan was run when the artwork was unavailable.
