Movie Titles Load Slow or Freeze

Slow Not Loading

Best Answer PetroUSMC , 09 February 2014 - 03:22 AM

I FIGURED IT OUT!

I use Media Center Master to get all my Metadata and Artwork. In the settings I didn't have Resize selected so ALL my pictures were around 3.1MB. And with all my movies that was around 3.4gb just in pics it was trying to load. I deleted all the pictures and had MCM re-download them resized. It went from 3.4gb to 350mb. HUGE DIFFERENCE. Thanks for all your help and I hope this solves some frustration in the future.

Please post a full server log in debug mode (preferably not in a zip file).

That's cool.

Nothing really jumps out in the logs aside from some of the response times.

Is your roku wired / wireless?

If wirless how is the signal strength?

Your server should be plenty fast. Have you tried a roku restart to see if it improves?

I've restarted it many times. And It is wireless due to the fact I can't run a cable from my router all the way through my house into my TV. I'll move it around and try it wired and see if anything changes

UPDATE: Tried it wired, no difference

Glad you got it working. I think the slow down was then probably in the image processing. Basically the Roku requests a resized down image and that resizing was the extra processing it was taking to load things up.

I use MCM as well and have my images resized to 720h x 1280w by MCM with an average file size of 250KB.  I'm curious to find out what size you re-sized them too since I'm having issues similar to the ones you had.
