is this in web browser or a particular device?

You need to provide server logs and any ffmpeg logs associated with trying to play the streams.

If you want to PM me a sample of your m3u i can validate it for you if you wish.

I noticed the log did not have my password to access the IPTV service although my password was part of the m3u link !!!

Mark, Check your inbox....I sent you the link so you can test it

The transcode log shows that it cannot resolve the dns name tv.iptvsensation.com so you have a problem with the dns settings pn your server.

Hi

I have imported your m3u.

A lot of channels play fine - some come up to say it is work in progress.  So your m3u is good.

Just resolve your DNS lookup issues and you will be fine.

First make sure you can "ping tv.iptvsensation.com" and get a response.  The ip returns for me is as follows:

C:\Windows\system32>ping tv.iptvsensation.com

Pinging tv.iptvsensation.com [185.2.83.253] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 185.2.83.253: bytes=32 time=41ms TTL=53
Reply from 185.2.83.253: bytes=32 time=47ms TTL=53
Reply from 185.2.83.253: bytes=32 time=39ms TTL=53
Reply from 185.2.83.253: bytes=32 time=37ms TTL=53

Ping statistics for 185.2.83.253:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 37ms, Maximum = 47ms, Average = 41ms

Reply from 185.2.83.253: bytes=32 time=288ms TTL=58
Reply from 185.2.83.253: bytes=32 time=291ms TTL=58

I am sorry but I have no idea what is wrong with my DNS ?!!

and you are right...when I put the url in android or ios iptv app...it works fine except for some channels that say work in progress

Ok - what is your server?

Is it QNAP or other NAS?

We have seen this issue elsewhere on those devices.

Looking at the log again, I see qpkg in it so I assume you are running this on QNAP.

This is an issue that has been reported before and I am not sure it has been resolved.

@@Luke will need to help you resolve.  Otherwise run the server on windows or Linux and MAP a drive to the qnap.

I run my server on a Linux VM connected to a share on my Qnap which works very well for Backend Storage.

Running the server on the Qnap is crap for transcoding anyway because of puny processors unless you have a modern I7 qnap!!

I run Emby on my QNAP server which is better since it is running 24/7

So you are saying it wont work on my QNAP? my only options is to run emby on Windows or linux?

You need to wait until @@Luke the main server developer can look at this post.

If you look around these forums there are other users of QNAPS that have had the EXACT same problem - that is all I can tell you.

It is something to do with the user that runs emby does not have access to DNS.

There may be a known fix for it now but if so I dont know it!!

Since you have the I7 qnap you would obviously want to pursue it on that hardware because it is very capable at transcoding.

The error is coming from ffmpeg. It appears to be unable to connect to the external domain you are trying to use:

[tcp @ 0x3d026a0] Failed to resolve hostname

Is it possible you need to configure the network connection in the QNAP container to allow this? Most likely it's just not being allowed for whatever reason. Thanks !
