Hello,

 

My wife and I would like to manage our adult videos and photos with Emby. I had started a bit some time ago, but never got far for a lack of time. Now finally we decided that we want to fully automate our home cinema, so organizing our media is back on schedule.

 

I have noticed that the new version of Emby has no more adult library type, and also any previous adult metadata agent is now missing. :-(

 

So I was hoping to implement a fully adult ecosystem into Emby - with metadata search, persons, genres, and image support. My question is now, how do I bring back the library type (without overlooking something obvious), so that I can keep the whole metadata lookup ecosystem separate from the other movie/series/... agents/types?

Hi, the plan is to not have these kinds of types anymore because the server doesn't really need to know that they're adult videos, or any kind of videos for that matter. Ultimately the metadata selections will all be moved to per-library, and you will choose the metadata provider when you setup the library. That is where we are headed.

 

In the meantime if you want to create a provider, the best thing to do is just base it off of the Movie type.
