ernstgot 17
would emby support hdr metadata through the android app on a sony android tv?
ebr 14928
You'd have to test it but, so far, reports of support have been spotty on the Shield. With some working and some not. The actual mode the TV is in can be a factor as well so try toggling the auto refresh rate switching option.
ernstgot 17
Where do I find the "auto refresh rate switching"? I don't see that under settings anywhere.

CrowTC 21
FYI: I have been able to successfully play 4K HDR test clips to my 2015 Bravia 4K TV (XBR-55X850C) which currently has Android 6.0 installed. They all looked pretty darn spectacular, but they did occasionally stutter even set to 100 Mbps. I *do* have "Automatic Refresh Rate Switching" turned on. Now if I could only get my 3D rips to play back consistently...
