Chuggy 3 Posted January 22, 2017 Share Posted January 22, 2017 I'm curious what kind of the time it takes others to change a channel? I have a 3 tuner HDHOMERUN Prime, and an Nvidia Shield TV. My channel switching with "direct stream" checked is around 8 seconds. With "direct stream" and "use VLC" checked I get around 5 seconds. In libe channels I get around 2 seconds, and in the HDHOMERUN app I get around 3 seconds. The delayed switching is one of a few things that keeps us from using Emby for Live TV. denz 426 Posted January 23, 2017 Share Posted January 23, 2017 That sounds about right it is much slower than the othe pvr software. Hdhomerun and Kodi are near instant WMC about 2 seconds once I got the ssd hardrive as WMC has to buffer before it plays. On the pi it takes 11 seconds and on the same pi libreelec takes maybe a second. Since all the others can achieve those times I am confident the devs can figure out why is it too slow as everything else is very fast to start.
