daniel81 1 Posted January 14, 2017 Share Posted January 14, 2017 Hello @@ebr, I have a problem. I use Emby Server 3.1.2 on a Qnap and an Amazon FireTv as Client. I had to reinstall all packages on my Qnap, because I crashed something And now everthing is working fine with the client (direct play for mkv, transcoding..) ...but if I want to play a .ts-file (a recording from my dreambox), the server want to direct stream this file, but nothing happens. ebr 14959 Posted January 16, 2017 Share Posted January 16, 2017 Hi. Can you tell me exactly what happens when you play this item? You said it tried to direct stream but there is a transcoding log. That could happen if it went through a number of failures trying to play it. Also, please play the item and then send a log from the app and come back here and give me the particulars. On both is the newest client software installed and Server version is 3.1.2. On FireTV nothing happens, no audio, no video - you can only see this turning circle. Attached I made a server log from server start incl. playing file. On AppleTV I only have audio, but no video. Can you please further explain that? I'm not sure what is working and what's not and what app we're talking about now. The Apple TV will not be able to direct play a .ts file.
