7illusions 1249 Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 (edited) By default, Windows 8 Modern UI Applications are forbidden to send network traffic to the local Computer (localhost 127.0.0.1) To circumvent this restriction we need to enable Loopback capabilitiy for the Media Browser app. This is a pretty easy thing to do. Just download the "Windows 8 Loopback Exemption Manager" from codeplex http://loopback.codeplex.com/ Once downloaded, just run the Windows8LoopbackManager.exe file. Look for Emby in the list of apps. mark the checkbox and click save. That's it. Emby can now communicate with localhost. Edited August 2, 2015 by 7illusions 9
