theAkran 1 Posted December 31, 2016 Share Posted December 31, 2016 I often end up having multiple users watching the same thing, so I've encouraged them to record and watch from active recordings. The problem with this is if someone begins watching late, the file begins to transcode from the beginning and they can only skip ahead as far as the transcode has gotten. Would it be possible to have a "start from live" option on watching active recordings, so that the transcode starts ~30 seconds before live? Luke 37099 Posted January 1, 2017 Share Posted January 1, 2017 The play button starts from the beginning. i suppose a start live button could be useful. they can also just play the channel through the regular guide to start from the current time. it doesn't matter where they play from. theAkran 1 Posted January 1, 2017 Author Share Posted January 1, 2017 (edited) I'm aware they can play from the regular guide, the problem is then I'm recording the same thing twice (once in the Recorded TV folder, once in the Temp folder). A minor annoyance, to be sure, but an annoyance nonetheless. Edit: the major issue here is the use of 2 tuners on the same channel.
