Unable to play media, scan library, or clean database after upgrade to 3.1.1

Upgraded Emby on QNAP TS-453 Pro to 3.1.1 and Qmono to 4.4.2.11. I can get to the web interface but the media library never loads (see screenshot) but I can get to the management page (tried Chrome 55.0.2883.87 m (64-bit) and Firefox 50.1 on Windows and Chrome and Emby App on Android). Also found that the clean database and scan media library scheduled tasks fail to complete.

it appears your library database has become corrupted somehow. shut down the server, then delete this file

/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/Emby/Emby/ProgramData-Server/data/library.db

Then start the server back up and run a library scan (which will take a little while). let us know how this goes. thanks !
