Emby 3.1.1, update not starting properly

I mean I updated to 3.1.1, but I'm only getting a white loading screen, nothing else.  It has been over 20 minutes since I bounced the server.

 

The server starts fine, and the process is running, but after 20 minutes I still can not actually login, as I get a white screen, since it does not time out I know that the http-server was at least started, but that is not very helpful, since I have no log to refer to, I'm stuck as to what is happening and how to fix the problem.

Of course since I've never had an issue with an update I did not take a backup first (stopped doing that when I never needed them, now, wishing I had).

 

Suggestions how to resolve the issue?

 

Update steps:

shutdown emby

remove old dll's exe's ...

unzip new version

restart emby

 

same as I've been doing for a year without issues.

Hi, what distro are you on? You really should be using the normal update process rather than doing that manual technique on your own.

The reason for this is dependencies. As dependencies change, the package update process will handle this for you, and they have changed.
