Unable to seek and 2 other issue

Hi Guys,

 

I've been using the Emby for Android App recently but getting three issues.

 

Issue 1

If I start streaming a episode or movie, I am unable to seek at all, move the slider and it doesn't do anything to the playback. Slider sometimes stay where I move it to but doesn't change anything.

 

Issue 2

If you come out of the app or lock screen or anything, it will reset you back to the beginning of the video, its very annoying because I cant seek back to where I was.

 

Issue 3

You change the stream quality while streaming, which only takes effect if you close the stream and start again.

This is not major issue but issue 1 is really annoying.

 

I've added three Android App logs from today and the server log.

I was using it between 17:20 and 18:30.

 

Server Version: 3.0.8500.0

App Version 2.8.27  on Android 6.0.1

 

If anyone can help, that would be great.

I've fixed these issues now, app was setup to go through my reserve proxy some reason.

 

Setup directly now and works correctly.

 

 

Still getting the issue where it reset the stream when you come out the app or lock your phone.

 

Other issue is that if you use a self signed or lets encrypt certificate you need to add the CA for the certificate to your phone. Can we add a setting in emby app to just allow any SSL certs or SSL cert with a certain thumbprint

Hi @@MrJonny, we're looking into resolving this, thanks for the report.

 

As for self-signed SSL, there is already handling in the app for this. If the device rejects the cert then you'll get a one-time prompt to manually approve it. Are you not seeing this?
