sebastianheld 0
I'm playing a long audio book track (6 hours) locally. The pause butten does not work (nothing happens, if it is pressed; see screenshot). A few seconds after starting the track, the button works, but after these few seconds, only the stop button works. App log file: 18:23:48.204 [JavaBridge] DEBUG App - Vlc received command: pause 18:23:48.205 [main] DEBUG App - MediaService.handleIntent action=action_pause 18:23:48.207 [main] DEBUG App - handlePauseRequest: mState=2 18:23:48.207 [main] DEBUG App - getCurrentPlayingMusic for musicId= 18:23:48.208 [main] DEBUG App - updatePlaybackState, setting Favorite custom action of music 18:23:48.394 [JavaBridge] DEBUG App - Vlc received command: pause 18:23:48.395 [main] DEBUG App - MediaService.handleIntent action=action_pause 18:23:48.397 [main] DEBUG App - handlePauseRequest: mState=2 18:23:48.398 [main] DEBUG App - getCurrentPlayingMusic for musicId= 18:23:48.399 [main] DEBUG App - updatePlaybackState, setting Favorite custom action of music 18:23:48.584 [JavaBridge] DEBUG App - Vlc received command: pause 18:23:48.588 [main] DEBUG App - MediaService.handleIntent action=action_pause 18:23:48.590 [main] DEBUG App - handlePauseRequest: mState=2 18:23:48.591 [main] DEBUG App - getCurrentPlayingMusic for musicId= 18:23:48.591 [main] DEBUG App - updatePlaybackState, setting Favorite custom action of music 18:23:51.225 [main] DEBUG App - getCurrentPlayingMusic for musicId= 18:23:51.227 [main] DEBUG App - updatePlaybackState, setting Favorite custom action of music 18:23:51.548 [JavaBridge] DEBUG App - Vlc received command: stop 18:23:51.550 [main] DEBUG App - MediaService.handleIntent action=action_stop 18:23:51.552 [main] DEBUG App - handleStopRequest: mState=2 error= 18:23:51.553 [main] DEBUG App - getCurrentPlayingMusic for musicId= 18:23:51.554 [main] DEBUG App - updatePlaybackState, setting Favorite custom action of music 18:23:51.555 [main] DEBUG App - giveUpAudioFocus 18:23:51.560 [main] DEBUG App - relaxResources. releaseMediaPlayer= 18:23:51.614 [main] DEBUG App - getCurrentPlayingMusic for musicId= 18:23:51.615 [main] DEBUG App - updatePlaybackState, setting Favorite custom action of music This bug makes the app unusable for listening to audio books (the stop button forgets about the last position inside the track). sebastianheld 0
Can I do anything else to get this fixed?
Luke 37193
Hi, I've been testing it but have not been able to reproduce the problem. What version of Android are you on?
sebastianheld 0
The exact version is: DOOGEE-Valencia2_Y100pro-Android5.1-R08-20160309. How to reproduce (example): - restart mobile phone - start emby app - search "Magisterium" - select the album - press the green right arrow "play" - select the first entry in the popup menu - the player open at the bottom of the screen and music starts to play - everything works as expected (including the pause function) - when wiping from the top of the phone, the notification bar shows emby playing the selected album - stop the play back - restart play - now, wiping from the top of the phone does not show the emby app anymore (*) - pressing the pause button does NOT pause the music I've attached a screenshot taken at (*). No emby app visible in the notification bar, despite of playing music. I've a full adb logcat from the above mentioned action (approx. 3 MiB). I can send it to you via email. Luke 37193
Thanks for the steps. I will try these out exactly.
sebastianheld 0
Ok, it seems to be impossible to fix this bug. Since my first month Emby Premier is over now and the app stops playing altogether, I'll have a look at Plex. Thanks for your time. Bye.
Luke 37193
There's an update to the app rolling out with a number of fixes. I'm not sure it will resolve this but I'll take another look at it. Thanks.
