BUG: Pause local play does not work

I'm playing a long audio book track (6 hours) locally. The pause butten does not work (nothing happens, if it is pressed; see screenshot).

A few seconds after starting the track, the button works, but after these few seconds, only the stop button works.

App log file:

This bug makes the app unusable for listening to audio books (the stop button forgets about the last position inside the track).

Emby App version: 2.8.24

Hi, I've been testing it but have not been able to reproduce the problem. What version of Android are you on?

The exact version is: DOOGEE-Valencia2_Y100pro-Android5.1-R08-20160309.

How to reproduce (example):

- restart mobile phone

- start emby app

- search "Magisterium"

- select the album

- press the green right arrow "play"

- select the first entry in the popup menu

- the player open at the bottom of the screen and music starts to play

- everything works as expected (including the pause function)

- when wiping from the top of the phone, the notification bar shows emby playing the selected album

- stop the play back

- restart play

- now, wiping from the top of the phone does not show the emby app anymore (*)

- pressing the pause button does NOT pause the music

I've attached a screenshot taken at (*). No emby app visible in the notification bar, despite of playing music.

I've a full adb logcat from the above mentioned action (approx. 3 MiB). I can send it to you via email.

Ok, it seems to be impossible to fix this bug. Since my first month Emby Premier is over now and the app stops playing altogether, I'll have a look at Plex. Thanks for your time. Bye.

There's an update to the app rolling out with a number of fixes. I'm not sure it will resolve this but I'll take another look at it. Thanks.
