Last time i wanted to watch a serie episode, subtitles (embedded in a mkv file) did not render on the ipad screen even if i can clearly see them selected in the CC menu Here is my config : - emby server (Version 3.0.8500.0) running from Windows 10. - emby iOS app (Version 1.2.9) on an Ipad mini 2 running from iOS 10.1.1 - QSV transcoding activated Here are the media info from the Emby server library: Video Codec HEVC Profile Main Level 120 Resolution 1916x1076 Aspect ratio 16:9 Anamorphic No Interlaced No Framerate 23.97602 Bitrate 1095 kbps Pixel format yuv420p Ref frames 1 Audio Language eng Codec AAC Profile HE-AAC Layout 5.1 Channels 6 ch Sample rate 48000 Hz Default Yes Title Eng Surround Subtitle Language fre Codec SRT Default Yes Forced No External No Title Fre Default Container mkv Here is the emby server log : server_log.txt And the corresponding transcoding log : transcoding_log.txt I hope this will help.
