I created 3 sync jobs for the same library using the same target but with different quality settings (Baseline High/Mid/Low). The folde containing the data.json file had 3 subfolders Baseline-High / Baseline-Mid / Baseline-Low but only one data.json. Luke 37116 Posted January 7, 2017 Share Posted January 7, 2017 @@Tolotos, it is failing to save due to some kind of sharing violation System.IO.IOException: Sharing violation on path /extDrives/emby_common/__transcode/Gubler's Emby in the Web/data.json do you possibly have the file or folder open which might be creating a lock? Only the normal Linux system tasks and maybe tasks from the provider I rent the hardware and the storage space (CIFS-mount) which are not in my scope. It's a really bad issue as it causes a total loss of all trans-coded data referenced in the data.json file. In the log there are in 30ms distance the same sharing violation log 2017-01-04 15:02:33.2646 Error App: Error transferring sync job file 2017-01-04 15:02:33.2929 Error App: Error syncing item Is this from the same call stack or different tasks in Emby which collides? I started all again a week ago and now it reached 20% - 5 weeks more to hope the error will no occur. If emby doesn't cause the lock it should be able to handle it with the loss of all pre transcoded stuff. Maybe catching the exception and start a wait-try again loop together with writing the new data.json first a data.json-<systemtimeBasedExtension> file and try to rename will add a change to keep the data for manual repair. -- Tolotos Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
