Cannot create a Library for personal photos only

Hello Luke and Emby team.

 

Notes:

Having personal photos and movies content inside the same folder doesn't allow sorting for "Home videos & photos" library.

In this case, the personal movies are displayed at the end of the list. Imagine a folder with more hundred of photos and videos, you have to scroll library pages to the end only to reach the videos.

Sorting is available only when a single type of personal content(photos or movies) is present inside library's folder.

 

So I intend to create separate libraries with specific only one type of content, personal photos or movies.

 

It works OK to create Library for personal videos only:

- Content type: "Home videos & photos"

- deselect option "Enable photos"

- Small Error: the created thumbnails should have the play video sign generated(they have photos like thumbnails now).

 

I cannot create a Library for personal photos only:

Method 1(not available):

- Content type: "Photos"

- instead of available option "Enable photos", which has no sense for this content nor effect, it should be "Enable videos".

Method 2(not available):

- Content type: "Home videos & photos"

- implement a new option also to deselect "Enable videos"

That doesn't actually seem to be the question you are asking.  The photos are detected fine.  

 

The problem is you cannot have a library that contains videos and have Emby ignore those videos.  That is correct at this point in time.

Hi, is this what you're looking for? You want the videos ignored? Why not just show them together? Why don't we instead improve the sorting and filtering?
