rcarteraz 12
So, power went out and that caused my PC to shut off unexpectedly. Ever since Emby server won't start. It's status bar stops at about 25%. I've tried restarting, I let it sit for 30 mins. Nothing seems to work. Anyone have an idea of what I can do? Update. Just saw that an error prompt came up. "Unhandled exception. One or more errors occurred" Thanks Edited October 29, 2016 by rcarteraz
Happy2Play 8351
You will need to post your server log to determine the unhandled exception.
Luke 37235
Hi there, we're very sorry to hear about this. As happy2play mentioned, please provide the emby server log. You can learn how to do that here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/739-how-to-report-a-problem/ Thanks !

Solution Luke 37235 Posted October 29, 2016 Solution Share Posted October 29, 2016 Ok it looks like some installation files may have been damaged. I would suggest installing from the website on top of your existing installation. If the issue persists, the next thing I would suggest is running windows chkdsk to check for possible hard disk failures.

Happy2Play 8351
I am seeing an unhandled exception as well Error from log Prefix already in use To me that would mean the ports Emby is trying to use are already in use. Do you by chance have two instances of the server running? Please post a server log. Edited November 8, 2016 by Happy2Play
Luke 37235
If you're not sure of the answer, a good thing to try is just rebooting your machine.
Elksfeather 0
I have rebooted, I have uninstall/reinstalled and reinstalled over existing install. At this time I have no instances of the server running. server-63614224387.txt DxDiag_11.8.16.txt
Luke 37235
Here's your issue. Did you customize the https port? 2016-11-08 17:53:11.9623 Info HttpServer: Adding HttpListener prefix http://+:8096/ 2016-11-08 17:53:11.9623 Info HttpServer: Adding HttpListener prefix https://+:8096/ You cannot set them to the same value. We'll have to update the config screen to not allow that. What you'll need to do is manually update the server config file and set the https port back to 8920. You can find the file at C:\Users\Demension\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\config/system.xml
