TechLife 16
I migrated my Emby server and NextPVR from one PC to another over the weekend. It mostly works but I am having an issue with Live TV. When I log in and select TV, the response of those pages is *very* slow and when I get to the 3rd page of channels, it locks up altogether. In browsing the logs, I found something is looking to the IP of the OLD machine (10.0.1.30) for information which of course isn't there anymore. The new machine is 10.0.1.15 but shouldn't it just be looking to localhost since they live on the same box? Regardless, I assume looking to the wrong IP is the issue but I've been through Emby and NextPVR repeatedly and can't figure out where to change it. Log is attached, if you need any more info, I'll be happy to provide. Thanks! server-63612906433.txt Edited October 25, 2016 by TechLife
Luke 37113
Try going into the next pvr plugin configuration and updating the next pvr server address.
TechLife 16
Well, I fixed it but I have no idea how... I tried localhost, 127.0.0.1 and 10.0.1.15. Localhost and 127.0.0.1 had the same results I posted above. 10.0.1.15 made it significantly worse. So I decided then it was time to get my hands dirty. I was running a beta version of Emby before so I installed the beta. Then I was prompted with a NextPVR plug-in update so I installed that. Then, I deleted my NPVR channel database because I had some weird duplicate issues and while I was rebuilding that, a Emby beta update, NPVR core update and NPVR plug-in updates became available so I installed those too when I was done and happy with the database. After all that, I gave it another go and sure enough, it works like a champ. Fast, responsive and complete. Thanks for the reply anyway, Luke! Luke 37113
Glad to hear that it's running better but just be aware, if this is all on the same machine then the address is better off as 127.0.0.1. Otherwise you're just sending communications through the networking stack for no reason.
TechLife 16
It is all on the same box and I did remember to set the NPVR plug-in address to 127.0.0.1 to avoid just that when I reconfigured everything. Thanks for the reminder though!
