Newbie .net / c# resources

I'm an experienced Java/PHP/Js developer, but i'm a complete noob in the C# / .Net world who would be super glad if anyone could point me to some resources that help a newcomer to this ecosystem working on the Emby UI.

 

Currently i'm struggling with finding my way through some rather simple things:

 

- Work on the Web UI without having to rebuild/restart the complete app?

- Finding out the structure of the UI / Backend communication, e.g. where do i need to dig myself in to understand how i can add an additional ui component that communicates with the backend?

 

 

I'm not sure if the Emby Wiki is still up-to-date regarding my above questions. For example i cannot find where to set the DashboardSourcePath which seems to be necessary to avoid rebuild cycles when modifying the markup.

 

Any pointers greatly appreciated.

As far as learning C#, I highly recommend Microsoft Virtual Academy classes for C#
