Hi,

My library currently only has xml files for metadata but historically also had nfo files.

After completing a fresh kodi rebuild yesterday (using latest versions) I noticed the sync took 3 hrs to complete vs 1 hr when I had nfo metadata files.

Can I assume the sync took longer due to a lack of nfos serverside which then had to be generated kodi client side or does it make no difference eitheway which metadata format I use?

Thanks

Are you using the Emby for Kodi addon?  The addon does not use the xml/nfo at all - it gets the data directly from the server (which can use the XML/NFO itself).

Yes, I'm using the Emby for Kodi addon. Wasn't sure if one format was more beneficial over the other using the addon but your post answers my question.

Thank you.
