Library scan fails: Path: Value cannot be null

Hi,

 

I've been running Media Browser/Emby for several years updating once in a while and never had a major issue. The last update I did was probably a year ago and yesterday I decided to update the server. (I guess it's a matter of it it ain't broke, don't fix it)...

 

Since then, been banging my head on the wall since the Library shows Nothing (not a single movie). Tried to uninstall, reinstall, update again (There was an update since yesterday), stop the service, restart at console, switched from Windows share to local disk access, etc

I even tried to reset permissions on the whole folder's without success

 

In the logs, I see this (see attachment)

 

Does anyone have an idea why the camerauploads (which I never used) can't be indexed with the error path cannot be null ?

If it has been a year since you updated, I would be sure to start fresh.

 

Uninstall and remove all traces.  You can save your metadata folder if it is in the default location and put it back after the new install.

 

Then re-install and let everything rebuild with the new system.
