rcarteraz 12 Posted September 5, 2016 Share Posted September 5, 2016 I'm at my wits end here. So, I'm trying to connect at my brother's house. I can connect manually using the server IP but that means they would have to do that EACH time they want to watch something. I've read through the connection guide on here and still nothing. When I open the app it asks to activate a pin. I go to the page, put my credentials in and activate the pin. Then I'm able to view my server but when I select it, it immediately says "This is taking longer than usual" and after about 60 seconds it says the server is unavailable. BTW - you don't have to re-login manually each time. You can set the app to remember and automatically log-in. I noticed the external address was pointing to port 8920 on the Dashboard and the address that was shown when selecting a server in the App was port 8096. So, I unchecked report external address as https and that seems to have fixed it. It's not ideal though as I would prefer https connection.
