charlesk 2
Hi all, Using chromcast to cast the web client to a tv. Surround sound content doesn't seem to be downmixing to stereo properly. Loud music & sound effects, with very quiet speech. I don't know if it's meant to be Emby downmixing to stereo or if it's meant to be Chromecast. I can't find any settings anywhere to set the Chromecast device to downmix to stereo. Or anywhere else. Can anyone please point me in the right direction? Settings on the Chromecast or via Emby? Thanks!

rikiwi 32
I would like to know the correct audio settings too. I have had to have my remote In hand to quickly turn down volume when music and sound effect come on while watching movies or TV series Sent from my Sony Z3
charlesk 2
Still got this issue. I think it depends on the audio codec.Streaming from Ipad via Chromecast. It's direct playing. It's an MKV file. Audio is showing as 2.0 AAC, but the strange thing is that music/sound effect is REALLY loud, but speech is REALLY quiet. As if it's just playing the surround. BUT the file is showing in Emby as 2.0?? WTF?
