ginjaninja 537
take for instance, TV Show Thumb metadata Even though a Show 'thumb' has been available for months on the online providors; Emby will not attempt to acquire the thumb automatically for the show (that has no thumb in emby datbase) beyond the 1st initial library ingestion. appropriate load on online providers might be tempered by using time of object creation in emby database, date of last check, and media release date to inform the retry interval. examples For a TV show with missing metadata, a 6 monthly recheck for missing metadata might be appropriate. For a TV show with missing metadata still broadcasting, a monthly recheck for missing metadata might be appropriate. For a TV episode with missing metadata broadcast in the last x days. a more regular check might be appropriate.
ginjaninja 537
After a recent library rebuild, i had ~150 unmatched artists. ~98% only had one match on musicbrainz by name alone (the right match), but because they were not matched on initial ingestion, emby was never going to match them and download image metadata. I manually matched them all... ~1% only had one match when taking into account their name, and an album already matched they were on.. ie almost all could have been readily matched using functions already in Emby....a missed opportunity?
