manny 13
I'm ripping DVD movies intact to disk (VOB) with CloveDVD2 and ripping DVD TV Shows (MKV) with MakeMKV. No probs ripping other than playing back, there seems to be quite a difference in volume (MKV being a lot quieter) where I have to start cranking the volume up or down to watch content. Anybody else in the same boat? what are you doing to equalize the sound difference? Thanks
bloodtaker 71
me personally i adjust the settings on my computer for loudness equalization and fixes it 100% where i had my surround system at 20 to hear i can now drop it down between 1 and 3 my surround systems goes up to 50 as reference. the way to change you computer audio settings down in task-bar far right where the clock is at look for the speaker icon right click on it playback devices find your active speaker will be different for each computer once you find it select it to where grey bar is on it then click properties then enchantments look for enable loudness equalization add a check to the box if towards the bottom it has a more settings play around with them to your taste the reason for the audio difference is the encoding technique being used vob files are uncompressed mkv are compressed. you will have to play with you audio settings in makemkv if it has them to adjust the audio output Edited January 11, 2014 by bloodtaker
