Same here, I have and options an list of subtitles is loaded, but when I select any internal/external nothing happens, it just shows "opening" again but there's not subtitle displayed.

I'm attaching logs with debugging turned on. Old logs were deleted, and than I started Windows 8.1 Client app, found movie 'Blow' and played it, selected external srt subtitle 'Blow' which is in the same folder. Those are logs after that and playing for few seconds.  Thanks for support.

Couldn't upload third log which is transcode...it's about 17 MB...

I also tried right click on media browser taskbar icon, browse library which opens HTML view in browser, and tried playing movie from there. As soon as I selected subtitle on button with T letter, app failed to play movie. Here are logs after that action.

I just noticed this recently. They were working before but I can't confirm what version of the server/app this started occurring. Not sure if my error is the same as racog.

Subtitles are external.

Hey @@racog as I mentioned above, I am not sure if my issue was the same as yours but it seems that the latest MB Windows 8.1 app update fixed the subtitle issue on my end. I am not sure what the exact version it is but if you check for an update in the windows store you should have the latest version. If it still doesn't work then I suppose your issue needs to be looked at further.

Server Version 3.0.5233.40306

It is a error with the server software. An update is in the pipeline to solve direct streaming

Well, the update adds subtitles correctly. They work perfectly.

But now, the server gets loaded at 75% CPU usage :(

Too bad WinRT doesn't do native .mkv (H264/AC3/SRT or PGS)
