heerssimpson 3
Previously had a setup using serverwmc. Setting up a new server using the Emby Live TV with schedules direct. Emby sees my tuner, great. Got a free trial, then input my SD username and password into the server. Only confirmation I got was a window in the bottom left saying "settings saved." Well, its clear it didnt save the settings because I get no channel information whatsoever. I then purposefully put in the wrong username and password, and got the same window. I therefore believe the Emby server is just not taking my sign in information. Help please!
Luke 37112
Hi, did you fill out part two of the schedules direct page, which is entering your location and choosing a channel lineup?
heerssimpson 3
Just reviewed the log, looks like Emby is having a hard time taking to my hdhomerun. Guess it is not a SD problem after all. Thoughts? Luke 37112
It's unable to download the channel list from your HDHR. I would make sure your HDHR is plugged into the network and that the tuner ip address in live tv setup is correct: 192.168.1.

I would make sure your HDHR is plugged into the network and that the tuner ip address in live tv setup is correct: 192.168.1.116 Alright I opened up the hdhomerun settings, and sure enough something was screwy. I fixed it and can use the hdhomerun preview just fine. Went back into Emby, having the same problem. To answer your first question, yes, I filled out the second step just fine, although I get the same window confirmation. will upload another log. heerssimpson 3
Just a little background. Previously, I used Emby with serverwmc and WMC. No issues really. I moved, so I am updating my system and ditching WMC. If all goes well with Emby, I will sign up for premier. When I went to the preview to confirm TV even worked, it wasn't working. Then I noticed the channel numbers were all screwed up (missing channels, extra channels, etc.). So I set up the tuner again by basically running a scan for the new channels, which it found. Now it is working fine in the hdhomerun universe. Hope that helps.
heerssimpson 3
Also, the HDhomerun is very old, one of the first models they made. single tuner. could that have something to do with it?
Luke 37112
I would go here and grab their latest firmware: https://www.silicondust.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=119&t=20613 Then give it another shot. Thanks.
heerssimpson 3
For some unknown reason I get an error trying to install the latest drivers. ugh. What does the log say is the problem?
Luke 37112
It's failing trying to use an HDHR api that is only available with that new firmware, although that is supposed to be OK and we should recover from that. what model HDHR do you have? Luke 37112
Ok, unfortunately this is not a supported model. It has to be a model that has the Dlna feature (which is all of the current network ones I think). Sorry about that. I'll have to update that screen to inform you of that earlier in the process. Thanks.
