Discrete GPU

So my current setup is ET in a Windows 7 Pro VM on unRAID. Emby Server is in another Windows 7 Pro VM on the same uNRAID box (considered running as a Docker but I'll stick with Windows for now unless there's an advantage).

Anyways.... I've passed through a GT 730 which is a fairly low budget card and I'm considering upgrading if it will give me any better picture quality. 99% of what I run is 1080p Blu-ray rips on 1080p TV/projector. No 4k displays at this stage and very little SD->HD upscaling required. I'm simply trying to get the most out of my 1080p rips on the 130" projector screen.

I believe the main benefits to madVR are upscaling which takes most GPU power.

So cards I'm considering. GTX 950, GTX 960, GTX 1050 (if it's not too far away). I guess I could look at the GTX 760's also. Not a big fan of ATI cards but I'll consider. GTX 1060 is realistically too expensive.

Any recommendations? Or I could of course wait until unRAID can pass through the CPU iGPU which hopefully will happen later this year.

Take a look at rx460, should be a great card for Madvr for little money.

Won't do extreme settings, but should be able to do plenty.

I use a HD7950 with Madvr and it has enough power to give PQ a boost.
