preynolds2 0
I have a weird problem. I can log in thru the web (locally or remote) from my phone and everything works as it seems. I try the same from the tablet and playback freezes 20-30-40 seconds in... The same tablet works fine with Plex. I've tried different movies/tv shows, different resolutions/Mbps... still the same result.

preynolds2 0
Here ya go.. I tried again multiple times earlier.. The tablet played for anywhere between 20-45 seconds. I used my Samsung s7 phone and it played until I stopped it. server-63605414278.txt remux-36b1f8c4-f3e6-456b-acfc-2549b2a35e3b.txt
Luke 37161
The app is requesting a very high max bitrate from the server. Did you customize that? if you did, try reverting it back to Auto. If you did not customize it, try customizing it to a low value such as 1mbps. then work your way up.
preynolds2 0
Nope.. did not customize that. Any reason why it works on everything other than the tablet?
Luke 37161
Hi, did you try the test I suggested? You can customize the in-app bitrate setting by clicking the user icon in the top right, then playback settings. Thanks.
preynolds2 0
btw.. Im not using the app. I am connecting thru a web browser. Specifically, Chrome (android of course). Then connecting thru the IP address of my server. Also.. I have tried using the local IP (192.168.x.x) and the remote address as well. Both have the same result. Not sure if this matters.. ?? Luke 37161
In that case, the web app has the same kind of in-app settings so the same guidance applies. Additionally, consider trying the native Android app because it is using a very robust libVlc player which allows playback in more advanced ways than the web app can handle. and that means less work for your server.
Luke 37161
Hi, did you try the above? Thanks.
preynolds2 0
Yes, I set the bitrate (in the server settings) all the way down to 3... Still the same result. But, I used the app (played for 1 minute because I haven't purchased it) and it played at least for 1 minute.
Luke 37161
Did you try setting the bitrate to 1 mbps? And/or the app is a great option.
