relink2013 0
I have the latest stable release of Emby server, ServerWMC, and am running it all on a core i5 with Windows 7 and WMC. Whenever I try to watch Live TV through Emby on my iPhone 6 (iOS 9.3.3) about 99% of the time I get the spinning color ring for about 30-45sec but when the video player window opens I just get a still image from whatever show is on, and no audio. The other 1% of the time when shows do play, they play buttery smooth with no real issues at all. I did run an experiment with the Windows task manager open and noticed that when an episode actually plays my CPU usage jumps up to about 80-89%, and when an episode does not play my CPU useage jumps to about 35-40% I currently have hardware accelerated transcoding turned off (which is what mine was set to by default), I have tried enabling Intel Quick Sync in Emby, but i don't know if there is more required to make it work, because it made no difference. Hopefully I can get this sorted out, I'm one step away from having the perfect HD Homerun setup.
ebr 14913
Does the same channel at the same time play properly using the web client?
relink2013 0
On my iPhone, no. I just tried the HTML5 web app, and the iOS app and they both do pretty much the same thing.
relink2013 0
I thought this might help. Here is the latest Transcode log. There is one that correlates with every time I have tried to stream TV to my phone, and they all seem to end in the same error. http://pastebin.com/kKumi4He

Luke 37067
What Emby app is the log from post #4 from? that doesn't look like the iOS app. that looks more like a dlna transcoding log.
relink2013 0
That should have been me trying to stream from my iPhone outside of my network. Let me try it again and see if it generates a new log, so I can make sure.
relink2013 0
I did not get a transcode log that time, all I have is a server log, and that is reall really long.

The only devices I have ever tried streaming from Emby on is my Desktop, Laptop, and iPhone. Nothing should have been streaming through DLNA at 8:04AM because noone was home, however that is the exact time I tried streaming a show from my iPhone at work. relink2013 0
Anyone have any ideas? I haven't been able to stream anything for 2days at this point.
Luke 37067
You're saying it works fine internally within your home network?
relink2013 0
No it doesn't work at all on mobile devices. It works fine on my computers, but it won't play on any of my mobile devices (all iOS) at all. It did play a few times before, but now it hasn't played in about 2 days. relink2013 0
I have no idea what to do, I even went as far as to setup Emby on a seperate more powerful system, and I still have nothing. This is so disappointing, as this is the primary reason for wanting to use Emby.
Luke 37067
We put up a new release today to address other (unrelated) issues. But it does pertain to streaming so let me know if you see any difference. thanks.
mini__me 23
Similar behaviour to @@relink2013 Server Version 3.0.6010.0 iPhone Version presented as 1.2.1 in Server Dashboard HDHomeRun Firmware: 20160621atest1 When trying to play Live TV the majority of the time the app just freezes on a single frame and doesn't play the stream, whether inside the local network on wifi or outside on 4G/LTE. The log attached shows some channels working, BBC1 (v1) and BBC1 HD (v101), and then one that doesn't Channel 4 HD (v104). serverlog.txt v1.txt v101.txt v104.txt

Luke 37067
Have you customized the in-app bitrate setting? if so, can you try changing it back to auto? additionally, if that doesn't help, can you try setting it to a low value such as 1mbps?
mini__me 23
Just tried Auto and was looking good, till the 4th channel change and again the frozen frame. Will try later at very low rates and try again.

mini__me 23
Mix of both for me, was working great a couple of weeks ago during Wimbledon streaming BBC1/2 HD remotely to watch the tennis was great Now it's hit and miss whether it works or not, 'feels' similar to the bug about 9 months ago where streaming over 3G/4G/LTE wasn't working, however this time it's also over wifi as well.
